Mrs. Armstrong-Woods has been a Deputy District Attorney (DDA) for seventeen years. Sixteen of which she worked for L.A. County District Attorney where she prosecuted numerous felony and misdemeanor criminal cases, including homicides. Additionally, she specialized in complex mental health cases and served as the Special Assistant to the Chief Administrative Officer. She currently serves in the Special Prosecution Region – Major Crimes Elder Abuse Unit at Riverside County District Attorney office. She is active in the National Black Prosecutors Association and is a member of the Riverside County Bar. Prior to practicing law, Mrs. Armstrong-Woods was a proud special education teacher in South Central Los Angeles for L.A. Unified School District for eleven years. She continued her affinity for supporting children’s education by volunteering as a mentor for the Project L.E.A.D. 5th grade leadership program. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is happily married with children, grandchildren and balances her time between family, work and two rescue animals – a dog and a bunny. She enjoys, nature, traveling and attending live concerts.
